Spencer and I are currently living on opposite coasts; he just moved to San Francisco for work and I’m still here in New York. Needless to say, it’s a huge transition! We spend so much time together and haven’t lived in different cities since the beginning of our relationship when he was still in DC. So neither of us was really sure how we’d handle this temporary situation…

I came up with an idea to make our time apart a little productive and maybe a little fun! Inspired by The 3191 Project, we plan to each take one photo everyday (one from the east coast and one from the west) and post it on our new blog, A Summer Apart. These photos could be something domestic, something natural, some little snapshot of urban living… basically anything we find beautiful or that inspires our mood for the day.

I’m really excited about this project and have high hopes that it’ll help us get through the strain of being separated by a couple of timezones!
