As I’m sure I’ve mentioned, I generally don’t wear all that many prints. It didn’t begin as a conscious decision, I just kind of fell into it. My style has evolved over the years and I think, at least as it pertains to work attire, I’ve established a pretty minimalistic aesthetic.

And it is because of this subconsciously-imposed minimalism that I absolutely adore the following dress. It is one of maybe a handful of garments in my closet that has a strong, all-over pattern. I love the bright blue and the way it enlivens the abstract ikat-like design. I also love how it subtly references the 70s – whenever I wear it, I feel like I should be serving drinks and asking my party guests if they’d like to add their keys to the bowl.
