The other day, I was minding my own business, getting ready for work when I heard my fella yell out one of his favorite four-letter-words from the bedroom. Naturally, I ran to his aid to see what the hell his problem was; he had mistakenly sent a pair of black & white checked Hickey pants to the laundromat and there was significant shrinkage. So significant, in fact, that they are no longer men’s pants… they are now my pants.

So, having acquired this rather unexpected addition to my wardrobe, I was faced with the dilemma of incorporating this less than demure garment into my look. You see, there is a fundamental difference between Spencer’s and my fashion sense; while we both adore color, I work with solids and he dresses almost entirely in prints. He has a preternatural ability to mix seemingly clashing prints, colors and textures into consistently sharp ensembles. I’d like a little of that talent to rub off on me, but that remains to be seen.

So anyway, I tackled the project of coming up with an outfit for these babies with unbridled enthusiasm and I’m pretty happy with the results:

His Pants – Hickey
Top – H&M
His Cardigan – Uniqlo
Shoes – Pour La Victoire
Necklace – Isabel Marant
